On Friday, Nov. 22nd at the Hyatt Regency Guam Ballroom, local celebrities showcased their talents for the second annual GPO & Tumon Sands Plaza (TSP) Talent Show Gala, which raised funds to benefit non-profit organizations as a way of giving back to Guam’s community. 

The beneficiaries this year were Kamalen Karidat (Ministry to the Homeless), Make a Wish and Para I Probechu’n I Taotao-ta (PIPIT). Kamalen Karidat was founded in 1993, helping those in need of food, clothing and other resources. The Make a Wish Foundation provides wishes for children who have been diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions. These wishes encourage those affected to want to fight harder or experience a life-changing moment at least once in their lifetime. PIPIT perpetuates Guam’s rich Chamorro culture through dance and language. 

Among the performers were Ann Marie & Juan Muna, Tony & Audrea Sgro, Ben Estavillo, Ryan Tiong and Senator Régine Biscoe Lee. The crowd enjoyed talents from singing and dancing to flairing and competitive eating. Through this fundraiser, GPO & TSP contributed over $15,000 to the beneficiaries in continued support of their unique roles and work for the island.

All kids from K5 – 5th grade are invited to write “Letters to Santa” and be entered to win gifts from Twinkles! Kids can pick up a letter card from the information booth & drop it into Santa’s mailbox (located in front of the Nike store).

There will be one winner per grade. Winning letters will be read on GPO Guam’s Facebook on Monday, Dec. 23.

It’s that time of year for holiday cheer! GPO’s participating stores have decorated their window displays for a chance to win a Pizza Party. From November 25th – December 8th, GPO’s social media followers voted for their favorite by visiting @GPOGuam on Facebook and “liking” the store photo in the #GPOChristmas Photo Album.
